Do It Yourself: Paracord Keychain with Instructions – Tips for Survivalist
Learning how to make a Paracord Keychain is an invaluable skill you can develop. Sure, it may seem a little difficult but we’ve come across a tutorial that we had to share with you that simplifies the process for you.
Tools You’ll Need
- 3-5 Feet of Paracord
- Key Ring
- Small Scissors
Once you have all these tools in place, continue to step 1 so that you can create your own paracord keychain.
This is a tutorial from http://www.instructables.com/id/How-to-make-a-Paracord-Keychain-1/
- Step 1: How to make a paracord Keychain
Your first step is to attach the paracord to the key ring, like in the picture above. You’ll notice that the paracord ends point in opposite directions. You can make this loop as long or as short as you’d like. You’ll want to leave about an inch loop on the end. Then you’ll fold the Flatline in half and put it in between the knots.
- Step 2: How to make a paracord Keychain
With one piece of the paracord, bend it across the front horizontally, about an inch below the key ring.
- Step 3: How to make a paracord Keychain
Now bring the second piece of paracord over the top of the first, behind the back and up through the hole made by the first piece.
- Step 4: How to Make a Paracord Keychain
Keep repeating this paracord weave, lay the first piece across, bring the second piece over the top of the first piece of paracord, around the back and through the hole.
- Step 5: How to make a paracord Keychain
Continue the weave, always laying the same piece of paracord across the front. Until you have around a inch loop of paracord on the end left.
- Step 6: How to make a paracord Keychain
Once you have the loop at the end and the size is one you want, all you have to do is cut the paracord ends as close as possible and then melt them.
Congratulations! You now can make a do it yourself paracord keychain!
