DIY: How to Make an Edible Water “Bottle” or Bubble

The United States uses about 50 billion plastic water bottles each year, which requires 17 million barrels of oil.

The sad fact about this is that less than a quarter of that plastic gets recycled.

Think about it, you’re out hiking or camping and you bring a bunch of water bottles and when you’re done you either throw them out in the garbage on the trail or when you get back to your house. Not many people take it back with them to recycle.

How about this instead?

Instead of having to carry a water bottle around all day, make containers you can eat!

Want to experiment with other liquids? There’s a recipe list here.

The bottle is dependable, durable, and shockproof. It preserves the coolness of my water and I happily carry it with me everywhere. Additionally, the sealing cap is rigid, so spills are out of question!! Whoopee!
